The Project
The production project redesign evaluates PETsMART.com and provides a redesign of specific components of the site. The basis for the criteria used in this evaluation, corresponds to the design principles developed by Ben Shneiderman, Price and Price, Cooper and Reimann, and Donald Norman. The purpose of this report is to evaluate how well the developers of PETsMART.com have taken into account the fundamental approaches to interfaces defined by the above experts. The outcome of this document provides the developers of PETsMART.com a suggested conceptual design that this team feels meets the fundamental design principles required in developing a robust ecommerce solution.


Outcome
Completed analysis using models & guidelines discussed in class.
Became more familiar with guidelines by putting to them to practice.
Completed user testing and utilized iterative design process.
Demonstrated effectiveness of design processes and design guidelines
Designed new shopping cart functionality in the process.
Project received max credit from Professor Krull
