    		• The Database
    After spending an inordinate amount of time looking for a good restaurant in Troy, NY I was motivated to solve the problem. I spent the night and the following day putting together an online searchable restaurant database for the RPI and Troy community. I set up an Access Database with all of the restaurant information I could find online. This information came from restaurant reviews and other listings. I then created a simple web interface using forms and programmed the SQL queries to handle the searching. In addition to the search, I created an additional page for users to add new restaurants to the database.

    Outcome
  • The restaurant database is now frequented by the Troy community.
  • I learned ASP, SQL in the process of creating this service.
